Chapter Fourteen: The Carrotdog Strikes Back
"Children, dinner is served!" Mrs. Mackenzie called.
"Oh boy!" Bethany cried as she rushed in the dining table.
Robin turned off the TV and dashed to his seat.
"Robin, carrotdog and eggs sandwiches for you," Mr. Mackenzie said.
Robin licked his lips as he wolfed down the sandwich.
"Don't be greedy," Bethany said.
"Duh! This is mine!" Robin said with a mouth full.
"Table manners," Bethany said.
Robin angrily folded his hands as he gulped.
After dinner, they went to sleep.
The next day, Robin went sledding.
"Yeah, this is gonna be good," Robin said to himself.
He arrived in the district and saw a frozen lake.
"Ooh, ice skating!" Robin cried.
He hopped off and rented skates. He went to the rink and skated there.
"Hey, Robin!" A voice said.
Robin yelped as he tumbled down.
Nicole laughed, "Let me help you."
"Thanks," Robin said.
"So, you like Ice skating?" Nicole asked.
"Yeah," Robin said.
"Cool!" Nicole said. "I just heard you upstaged E.B."
"Yeah, it's not that bad, really," Robin said.
Nicole giggled as she kissed him on the cheek, "Good job, pal."
Robin gasped as he turned red. Nicole giggled again as she skated away.
